Art, designed by Rubén Saldaña & Luis Latrás, is a minimalist and rational suspended luminary that allows an ambitious range of composition possibilities. Individually, it transmits a sober look, but when combined – in an ordered or anarchic way – it is revealed as a sculptural piece of Art. This luminary can offer ambient lighting in any kind of actual interior design project. Its versatility makes possible both, - a discreet lighting over a table or an artistic composition to smoothly light up vertical opened spaces. Art is composed by two rectangular sections which intersect in three cylinders in a very neat way, respecting the sense of integrity and linearity of the piece. In addition, its geometries preserve their sharp edges- fusing with harmony each part of the luminary. Two cables (with a section of 1mm) support and power supply the luminary in a very tactful way to reduce its visual impact. Within its design, the thinnest section was selected in order to make cables disappear, giving away an effect of a levitating structure. Its extreme lightness when suspended – contrasts with the visual force that radiates this luminary. The Brushed Copper finishing contributes to a higher perceived value of the luminary and remarks the high quality of the material - given that the brass grants this tonality through an electrolytic bath. Art is also available in white or black textured; colours which follow this rationalist and neutral aesthetic. Art offers two versions. While Art orients its 3 points of light downwards; Art Direct & Indirect leaves the middle one pointing towards the ceiling. The direct and indirect lighting of this Art version, certainly, makes it a very attractive option to light up spaces in gloominess.
