Contemporary buildings, airtight and wrapped like thermoses, are becoming increasingly dependent on machines - mechanical ventilation and air conditioning—that, like respirators, sustain their breathing. By moving in this direction, are we truly finding a balance between people, space, and nature?
The author’s designs are an attempt at an alternative approach, in which the proper and human-friendly functioning of buildings is based on the conscious and controlled use of natural environmental forces. A special role is played by solar energy - the architect’s specialty.
