TROLDTEKT BASED ON FUTURECEM™

Troldtekt® acoustic panels are made in Denmark from natural wood and cement from Danish resources. Troldtekt is both FSC® (FSC®C115450) and PEFC™ certified. Troldtekt now produces acoustic panels based on patented FUTURECEM™ cement from Aalborg Portland. These panels absorb more CO2 than they emit during production (stages A1–A3 in the EPD). This means they have a negative CO2 balance in these stages. This is achieved because the wood element of the acoustic panels absorbs CO2 while it is growing. Furthermore, Troldtekt uses 97.7% renewable energy to manufacture its acoustic panels, which makes the negative CO2 balance possible. Ten years after Troldtekt’s first Cradle to Cradle product certification, the entire range of Troldtekt wood wool products was upgraded from Cradle to Cradle Silver to Cradle to Cradle Gold in 2022. This certification includes the natural-coloured panels, the standard colours black, grey and white and the new CO2-negative Troldtekt panels based on FUTURECEM. The products have even been classified platinum for the Material Health criterion. Troldtekt® acoustic panels boast exceptional sound absorption qualities, provide effective fire protection (B1, A2), have immense strength (certified to withstand ball impact) and are suitable for the dampest of rooms. The acoustic panels have been awarded the Blue Angel mark for low emissions, are classified in the top category of the Danish Indoor Climate Quality Seal and bear the M1 marking. Troldtekt’s design solutions, which are intended to give ceilings and wall surfaces an aesthetic, seamless look, are also available in a FUTURECEM-based version and are thus CO2-negative. Troldtekt panels based on FUTURECEM are available in natural grey (FUTURECEM) or with a colour coating. The colour-coated panels look exactly the same as the Troldtekt panels based on traditional cement.
