In the air, a faint scent of bread and brioches; in the distance, carefree voices of children; a cat slyly watches the door of the small bookshop open; glasses clink, someone toasts with a good wine. Immersed in soft light picturesque alleys, stately châteaux and romantic little squares are framed to sketch images and feelings of serenity, which return to the rooms welcoming with delicate taste and warm familiarity. Harmony with the slow rhythms of nature, continuous connection between indoor and outdoor conveying authentic emotions. The landscapes of Burgundy inspired this collection, which captures a very rare type of local limestone origin that is now unobtainable and whose quarries have been exhausted. We visited the places and did a thorough research of materials in those territories, which we then processed in our workshop where we developed a particular technical and creative process to recover this specificity. We have thus obtained a surface characterized by haloing and small details, while still keeping it balanced: fossil inclusions become very light and the typical color alternations are toned down in favor of a more compact and uniform background furrowed by veins that, though low in contrast, are well readable. The result is an effect of soft and refined essentiality, ideal for realizations with a contemporary language, even in all-over versions.
