A new type of polyester fiber has been developed under the brand name "LooPET", which is made from a regranulate that Filzfabrik Fulda produces in-house by processing production waste. Together with a German fiber manufacturer, we have succeeded for the first time worldwide in the nonwovens industry in proving the "fiber-to-fiber" principle for the circular economy from a homopolymeric material. This can reduce the volume of waste in the future if the legal framework is created and the objectives of the EU Green Deal are implemented.
