Photographic exposition

Since 1995, Archinov - Le mouvement des architectes et de leurs partenaires pour le développement de l'innovation - has been providing a forum for all those involved in the built environment, with a wide range of activities, including Cartes Blanches to architects (including one every year at the Architect@Work trade show), Round Tables, In Situ visits and urban walks. A letter-by-letter approach and the free form of the dictionary encourage fluid collective writing, always on the move in the image of Archinov. In a playful vein, we also invented a card game.

To present it at Architect@Work 2026, we selected one word per letter. One is not a lot. Yet these words also tell the story of our profession, regardless of their definitions.

Let us judge: architect, bâtir, croquis, dimensions, espace, flexibilité, global, habitat, innovation, jeu, kutsch, lumière, mur, normes, orange, plan, quotidien, re : réaménager, réhabiliter etc., sobriété, tour, utopie, ville, zone....

This selection is in subtle dialogue with Carole Touati's photographs. Her singular view of buildings, guided by their lines and curves from certain chosen angles, reveals a world of abstraction, turning the building-object into an imaginary composition.
