ART by WESLEY SACARDI

Wesley Sacardi was born in August 1981, defines himself as an eternal apprentice of the world passionate about free creativity and takes immense pleasure in sharing knowledge.

He started and firmed his artistic trajectory in 2016, when he left his academic training area in Social Communication for the production and creation of pieces in solid wood in different states.

This change was a milestone in the rescue of his origins of free creativity "outside the box", where he rediscovered the path to explore various forms of creation with wood.

The observation of nature, architecture projects and different styles such as Nordic, Wabi Sabi, Boho and Rustic are his main references and inspirations, which enables a certain creative fusion in the production process.

In addition to using discarded wood, makes intervention works with new raw material often destined for single use by industry, producing furniture and decoration pieces with artistic identity.

In 2021 in the midst of creative chaos is born the endless collection named Descartes Series beyond the raw material with unique pieces of furniture, decoration and accessories.

Descartes Series, beyond the raw material.

From the discomfort of discarding wood in the midst of the creative chaos of 2021, the endless collection named Descartes series, beyond the raw material, is born.

The series is composed of unique pieces produced with discarded wood from different places, and the result is furniture and accessories in formats outside the visual standard.
The inspiration of the creative process of Descartes Series comes from the discomfort of discarding materials. This discomfort provides freedom in adding movement to the pieces, because the use of different types of wood has the challenge in seeking balance between design and raw.

The choice of stools and chairs to compose most of the pieces of Descartes Series, is by the fact that they are pieces that you share and naturally share with other people in the spaces. Thus, each piece can establish a communication relationship with the public, who share the experience and share feelings about the observation.

The whole process of the creative line of the Descartes Series, from rescuing the wood and planning the production, results in unique pieces in format, textures, natural state and history.

The goal of each piece of the Descartes Series is the invitation to question the possibility of use at first, and then to accommodate that naturally reflects in unconscious discomfort about the use.
