The Vinci archipelago, tailor-made layouts for ‘happy sobriety’.
Vinci wanted to design a project that ‘looked like them and brought them together’.
The Vinci headquarters is made up of a series of buildings linked by footbridges that connect the common areas of the operation. Most of the common spaces are contained in the 3-storey plinth, which is open to the city and designed as a ‘village square’.
The fixtures and fittings form the centrepiece of the square, and are on a scale commensurate with the volume in which they are installed (100 metres long, 15 metres high). The challenge for the fittings was to meet the different uses of the village square: working, meeting, eating, relaxing, etc. They were also designed with the environment in mind, using bio-sourced products.
The challenge taken up by BROUILLET lies in its ability to faithfully translate the design conceived by the VIGUIER agency, a concept that appears simple at first glance, but is in fact complex to implement.
