Urban Climate Architects

Almost 80,000 m2 of wooden buildings are currently in the portfolio of Urban Climate Architects. Building in wood has so many advantages... for the environment, but also for the building process itself, which is much more industrialised and faster. That is why the office is widely committed to the upscaling of building in wood. After the first wooden residential building in the centre of Delft, Urban Climate Architects is currently working on a three-storey wooden homeless shelter in Rotterdam and a 19-storey wooden residential tower in Zoetermeer. The latter building still has a concrete core because of its height, but the firm says that for buildings up to 10 storeys a wooden core is also possible.
