Regional Wood Construction Award 2026

Thursday 10 June
11.45 am – conference room

Organised by Fibois Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, the Regional Wood Construction Award recognises the region’s most beautiful and high-performing timber structures each year. The 2026 edition generated considerable interest, with 123 entries received – a record for this competition, which was established almost 30 years ago in Rhône-Alpes! A jury of professionals selected the 8 most exemplary projects based on the following assessment criteria:

• Environmental quality and energy performance
• Technical performance of the timber
• Creativity and innovation
• Use of French/local resources and timber from sustainably managed forests
• Architectural quality and integration into the landscape
• Reproducibility

The Regional Wood Construction Awards will be presented to the 8 winning teams (architects, clients, design offices, quantity surveyors, timber contractors and timber suppliers) as part of ARCHITECT@WORK Lyon. They will have the opportunity to explain their architectural approach and view the video reports produced on their projects for the occasion.
