Rewilding architecture

The presentation will seek to theorise a new approach to architecture, which has moved from self-absorbed buildings with hermetic skins to façades that seek to integrate the exterior into the interior through elements that condense light and nature. Focusing on the role of natural resources in façade development, the concepts of health and wellbeing, vegetation and biophilia will be addressed, with examples from recent work by GCA Architects.
