XYLOFON

XYLOFON is a sound insulation strip that provides optimal acoustic comfort in timber construction, but is also suitable for any other building system. Made from a monolithic polyurethane compound, it is available in six different versions, ranging from 20 to 90 Shore, depending on the load to be supported. The product is tested and certified for use as a decoupling layer between building materials and as a mechanical break between construction elements. Thanks to its elasticity and damping capacity, it has been tested according to international standards ISO 10848 and ISO 16283 and significantly reduces airborne and impact sound transmission (by 5 to over 15 dB). The low profile thickness of the six versions allows for a wide load range without affecting design decisions. Also suitable for LVL, steel, and concrete.
