Essonne is an area in question: between metropolis and rurality, local authorities have to imagine what the near and distant future holds. But for elected representatives, the act of building is part of two contradictory timeframes: a rapid timeframe with the obligation to achieve results, and a long timeframe that is necessary in view of the changing challenges and the weak signals already at work. The CAUE's partnerships with schools of architecture provide an ideal opportunity for dialogue between future designers and elected representatives.
