Joy is a driving force that we summon through our projects, not only in the act of making architecture but also in the idea that it can endure beyond our mission and give rise to a personal narrative.
Every situation is fertile. Every nook and cranny of space has the capacity to accommodate the development of living things, all you have to do is take a closer look. Whatever space is generated, it calls out to be occupied by life, inhabited by a force that is often beyond us. At the very moment when an activity takes place in a place, we evoke the living aspect of that place. Life is a necessity that guarantees the viability of our environment and, as a consequence, it guarantees our presence within it. Activity becomes coherent action if it takes place in a fertile universe.
Maintaining our link with the living world also means not losing our ability to recognise the enchantment in each of its expressions. Rational and scientific extremism has the effect of making our experience of the world sterile. We need to give the landscape its due. Breathe in the air, soak up the colours, grasp the cycles, seek symbiosis and analogy. A holistic vision of our world provides a basis for building our attitude towards living things.
