Ophélie Lespagnol, NOMOS arquitectos

Existing cities represent one of the greatest resources for reducing the carbon footprint of the built environment. This presentation explores how architecture can transform existing buildings, reveal their potential and adapt them to new uses. Through projects in Madrid, Lisbon, Geneva and Burkina Faso, it showcases different strategies for reuse, energy rehabilitation and the use of local materials, approaches that rethink the city as a resource and move toward a more sustainable urban environment.
