Communiqué de clôture
The fourth edition of ARCHITECT@WORK BORDEAUX, held on 27 and 28 November at the Parc des Expositions, was a resounding success with the 1,951 visitors in attendance.
Under the theme of ARCHITECTURE IN SYMBIOSIS, the event enabled architects and interior designers from the region to discover innovations from exhibitors rigorously selected by a jury of experts.
The programme of related events and conferences fuelled reflection on architecture which, when it enters into symbiosis with humans, is architecture that listens and responds to their physiological needs, but also their emotional, social and cultural needs.
The exhibition Sobriexpo – Matières solidaires – Innovations responsables et engagées (Sobriexpo – Solidarity Materials – Responsible and Committed Innovations), produced by the Innovathèque, presented innovative materials, processes and systems developed with a focus on social and solidarity-based economics.
The photographic exhibition MATERIA architectures, co-produced by the Pavillon de l'Arsenal, Les Grands Ateliers, amàco and the Association ouvrière des Compagnons du Devoir et du Tour de France, was presented in Bordeaux. Dedicated to contemporary architecture using earth, stone and plant fibres, it attracted a great deal of interest from visitors.
The art and work of Alfredo Longo enriched the theme of this edition. Cans are reborn in his works, which bring colour to an otherwise grey environment.
Visitors were able to appreciate this very special work.
The 2025 theme, ‘ARCHITECTURE IN SYMBIOSIS’, was also featured in the conference programme, with the participation of the following architects and specialists:
- Gauthier Claramunt - Dauphins Architectures
- Julien Coeurdevey - 180 degrés ingénierie
- Vincent Dechaene - lighting designer
- Fiona Beenkens - BetterAtHome
- Michel Pétuaud-Létang - 4A Architects
- Justine Rouger - Living Space Development Division, FCBA
Not to mention the round table discussion organised by Fibois Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Fibois Landes de Gascogne, as well as the 5th Thursday of reuse presented by GPV rive droite and the Order of Architects of Nouvelle Aquitaine.
Fibois Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Fibois Landes de Gascogne also took advantage of this 4th edition of ARCHITECT AT WORK Bordeaux to award the Public's Favourite Prize - Regional Wood Construction Prize 2025 and to showcase the photographic exhibition of the winners of the Regional Wood Construction Prize 2025 in their space.
