Rooted

As a collective practice that consciously relocated from the city of Porto to the village of
Labruge in search of new ways of understanding, we seek to renew our approach to
design, construction, and critical thought. Inspired by local forms of making and bodily
knowledge that emerged from the need to enhance the environmental conditions, we
explore how working with natural regional materials — through our own physical
engagement — can strengthen local economies and intelligence, moving toward an
intemporal design free from academic ideals.
