Playing with history and the living world

Since its creation, SOA has pursued a dual practice of research and project management. Two projects, one in Beirut and the other in Paris, illustrate how the two practices meet. In Beirut, the hypothesis of contemporary Arab architecture is posed through the design of a tower. In Paris, it is the reinterpretation of Haussmannian codes and the sharing of space with the non-human living world that is at stake with the construction of an apartment block.
