The Parc des Minoteries and Place du Vallon share a similar approach: both are frugal and participatory projects. At Parc des Minoteries in Geneva, the dismantling of existing concrete slabs on site provided the project's main resource, allowing materials to be reused through a very short supply chain. At Place du Vallon in Lausanne, 250 m² of asphalt were removed, making it possible to plant trees directly in the ground. Both urban redevelopment projects were developed through consultations with local residents.
