Color is often treated as the final layer of a material, something we choose only after form, texture, and function have been defined. But what if color were part of the material's own story?
This talk explores color through the lens of circularity: where it comes from, how it becomes integrated into materials and surfaces, how it behaves over time, and what happens to it when those materials reach the end of their first life cycle.
From pigments to perception, from durability to specification, and using the NCS system as a practical tool, the presentation proposes a more conscious approach to color, viewing it as material, information, and responsibility.
