First Luxembourg prize for architectural criticism
On 29 April 2026 at 3 p.m., the OAI will present the first Luxembourg Prize for Architectural Criticism as part of the ARCHITECT@WORK fair at Luxexpo The Box. This newly created award aims to further raise public awareness of the merits of carefully selected buildings and infrastructures.
In the book Architecture deLUX, published on 15 May 2025 by DOM Publishers and the OAI, ten critics from different European countries analyse twenty remarkable examples of architecture in Luxembourg. Their texts offer new perspectives on the art of contemporary construction in the Grand Duchy and allow readers to engage in the architectural debate. Indeed, it was the readers who chose the first laureate of the “Luxembourg Prize for Architectural Criticism” through their vote.
As part of the award ceremony, we are organising a round table entitled “An Outside Perspective on Luxembourg Architecture,” to which we are honoured to invite you.
Provisional programme:
3:00 p.m. – Introduction by Pierre HURT, OAI Director
3:05 p.m. – Laudatory speech by Philipp MEUSER (DOM Publishers)
3:10 p.m. – Award presentation by Elisabeth MARGUE, Minister Delegate for Media
