DuroGrit is a sustainable, wood fibre fortified and water-soluble oil that colours and protects all exterior wood in 1 single layer. The FibreGrit Technology, where added wood fibres give the oil its unique structure, provides the perfect combination between a saturating and a breathable monocoat system. Thanks to this technology, the product does not only have an incredible and long-lasting UV protection compared to other exterior wood finishing products, but it’s also extremely durable and wear resistant. With our new patented FibreGrit Technology, we are once again proving our relevance in the wood protection sector. DuroGrit consists partly of long cellulose fibres from wood itself. These fibres are water-repellent, very strong and hard. This means that they make your coating harder, strengthening the wear resistance and making the product suitable for terraces, garden furniture, etc. In addition, these fibres form a grid to hold the UV stabilisers. This allows us to add more UV stabilisers, resulting in much better UV resistance. The larger amount of UV blockers and the protection this provides are revolutionary. Thanks to this unique technology we can offer a product with a natural look on wood that is extremely durable. Colour range For the colour range of the DuroGrit we focused on a natural look for your wood. We developed long-lasting natural colours that look perfect on various wood species. Of course, a few eye-catching colours could not be missing from the range either. What’s unique about the DuroGrit colours is the combination of the natural look with the extreme UV resistance. Typically, wood oils that offer such UV protection give the wood a covering and plastic-like look, which often peels off with time on a lot of wood types. Usually, this type of strong UV resistance also requires two layers, while the DuroGrit is sufficient in just one layer.
