Window and frame wood from hydrothermally treated Platowood Fraké. By finger-welding and laminating the wood, Platowood ensures an optimised semi-finished product in easily processable lengths and thicknesses. This also prevents unnecessary wood losses. Our frame, window and door wood has a lifespan of up to 50 years and can be used outdoors without finishing. Besides showing hardly any shrinkage or swelling behaviour, it has a high insulating value, is burglar-resistant and low-maintenance. Platowood Fraké Frame Wood is KOMO certified. Thanks to our process, Platowood Frame Wood can be used outside without further finishing and profiled. Over time, the wood will then age in a beautiful, natural way. If you want an opaque finish, with Platowood Fraké Frame Wood a maintenance interval of up to 15 years is sufficient. With other hardwoods, this is easily five to six years. Non-platinised wood expands and shrinks. In time, this affects form stability, but also causes paint wear. After platonising, our wood hardly shows any shrinkage and swelling behaviour. As a result, the paint has much less to endure and therefore requires much less maintenance.
