PHASE CHANGE MATERIALS. Phaseo climate ceilings can store heat and thereby cool buildings (but also heat them) using the stored thermal energy in a phase change material. The nighttime cold can - by storing it as thermal energy in a phase change material - cool the building during the day. When thermal energy is released, the phase change material melts, slowly depleting the thermal buffer. You choose PCM in a ceiling system because you want to make a building more sustainable, energetically efficient, opt for comfort and health to improve the interior's appearance.
