The OKA underfloor system is a flexible, versatile and adaptable solution for routing cables in screed. The OKA system made of galvanized steel is installed directly on the raw concrete before the screed work. It is laid specifically where it is needed and can extend over the entire length of the room. With the help of the extensive range of accessories, the trunking can be adapted to different architectural and electrical requirements. Precise adjustment to screed level is achieved using height-adjustment feet. The system is suitable for carpet, PVC and linoleum. With special cassettes, they can also be used for parquet, laminate, tiles or stone floors.
The cover of the OKA system can be opened along its entire length, even if it is installed with a finished floor covering. This ensures that the electrical installation can be adapted as required. The trunking is available in various widths from 200 to 600 mm with removable covers, cable outlets or cassettes. Lowerable cable outlets can also be integrated. The flexible underfloor trunking system is characterized by a high load-bearing capacity of up to 3 kN.
Tests to determine air conduction of noise and transmission of footfall sound were carried out for the OKA system at the MÜLLER BBM GmbH testing institute in Munich. If footfall sound insulation is required, the system fulfils the recommendations according to Annex 2 of DIN 4109 (4). Compared to a screed construction without an insulating layer, the OKA-W system reduces impact sound transmission in the vertical direction by ΔLW = 5 dB.
The OKA system is also impressive from an ecological point of view, as it can remain in the floor structure for the whole lifespan of a building. Defective wearing parts such as installation covers, cassettes or sockets can be replaced without any problems.
