In Kolpa, we have developed an innovative material called Kerrock MF. It is the newest addition to the Kerrock programme. In comparison with the existing Kerrock material, the new one contains larger quantities of inorganic filling and of a special ingredient, making Kerrock MF extremely fireproof (thus avoiding additional risks of breaking due to heat) and inflexible (thus providing a higher degree of dimensional stability to the products). Another positive quality of the material is its increased hardness and a surface that is less prone to being scratched. Since the material is not too hard, however, carpenters can still process it with wood-processing tools. It is possible to use this material in numerous applications in the shipbuilding industry, meaning we have satisfied the needs of existing and new customers who are extremely satisfied, which is demonstrated by the large number of orders for our Kerrock MF plates. Kolpa d.d. obtained an IMO certificate for Kerrock MF material, certifying its compliance with the MED directive. The certificate was granted to us by an accredited institution called LAPI. Certificates for Modules B and D can be found in the annex. IMO is short for the International Maritime Organization. MED is short for the Marine Equipment Directive. The products made from Kerrock MF material are marked with "the Wheel Mark": In comparison with the standard Kerrock material, Kerrock MF: - is more compact - has a higher flexural modulus - is harder - is more fireproof Kerrock MF is an eco-friendly material. Its carbon footprint is 30% smaller than the carbon imprint of the standard Kerrock material and all other classic solid surface materials.
