JARDIN EPHÉMÈRE

To begin, an artist’s sketch, drawn by hand. A composition of plants scribbled on the paper. The sketch is reinterpreted on an embroidered linen cloth. The embroidery stitches have been chosen to reflect the spontaneous character of the work. Stitches of different lengths and thicknesses give the impression of pencil drawings, the overlapping threads and the mix of colors adds depth to the design. These embroideries highlight the veining of the foliage and give a modern twist to the designs.
