HACHURE - PIERRE CHARPIN​

“Hachure” moves between the torment of the lines to the suggestion of the colour field. The result surprises with the dynamism of an only apparently simple drawing. In the “Hachure” collection for Abet Laminati, Pierre Charpin, master of overcoming the division between artistic disciplines, proposes a remarkable synthesis between these two worlds: that is, the line, to which full fills are contrasted. Lines that intersect and overlap, differentiated in bold, medium and light, produce a rigorous design, a wide-knit texture that also transforms into denser designs, so that from a distance, the whole takes on the value of a uniform and continuous surface.
