A@W Hamburg 2025
Danza is a contemporary, technical and environmentally sustainable reinterpretation of the classic. chandelier. Its overlapping rings, designed as electrified tracks, house the lighting fixtures, creating a luminous composition reminiscent of a circle dance. The possible “choreographies” range from simple solutions to more complex configurations: one or more levels, different “rhythms” and a variable number of “dancers” – the illuminants – allow the system to adapt elegantly to different spaces and lighting needs. Designed as a track system, Danza fully expresses the Rotaliana’s border light philosophy: lamps that straddle the technical and decorative worlds, high-performance light fixtures. but with soft aesthetic and intuitive and accessible light management. The illuminants evoke the characters – halfway between machine and man – of the mechanical ballets of the twentieth-century avant-garde. The glass diffusers, inspired by the windproof shapes of ancient oil lamps, contain LED sources specifically designed for this system: efficient, high-performance and easily replaceable if necessary. The careful design, which optimizes the durability of the electronic components, combined with the possibility of repairing or replacing individual elements, contributes to significantly extending the life of the product, guiding Danza towards truly sustainable lighting.
