By combining an acoustic material with a linear luminaire, this design by Rafa Ortega creates an atmosphere that invites contemplation. It reminds us how sound and silence influence our interactions and human connections, encouraging reflection on the importance of communication and listening in our relationships.
Its structure consists of a lampshade made from acoustic material produced from recycled plastic bottles, paired with a polycarbonate diffuser tube. It is available in two versions: horizontal and vertical, allowing it to adapt to different spaces and design needs.
The horizontal version is perfect for installation above tables, counters or transitional areas, offering a warm, ambient glow with a contemporary aesthetic. The vertical version, on the other hand, offers a sleek and elegant solution—ideal for corners, double-height spaces, or as a striking focal point in decorative compositions.
CELESTE stands out in the market by combining lighting design and acoustic functionality in a single product. This duality responds to a growing demand for integrated solutions in open spaces, offices, and contract environments, where both acoustic comfort and proper lighting are equally important. Its sensory approach sets it apart as a luminaire that goes beyond technical performance to enhance the user's spatial experience.
CELESTE is made with recycled acoustic panels, which helps reduce the product’s environmental impact. These panels are derived from recycled plastic bottles, giving a second life to waste materials. Specifically, 61 plastic bottles are recycled per unit. In addition, its low-consumption LED technology ensures energy efficiency throughout its lifespan, minimizing the product’s carbon footprint. This luminaire is designed with durability in mind, using materials that are resistant, recycled, and recyclable.
