This new range of air purifying shades reflects Bandalux’s constant innovation and commitment with the environment and people’s well-being. An alloy of mineral oxides is applied to the fabric of the blinds in the form of nanoparticles. This treatment is automatically activated by the energy of natural, artificial or UV light. This is known as photocatalysis. Once the process is started, all the polluting particles in the air are eliminated. The active substances in these blinds act on their direct environment, with 1m2 of treated fabric purifying an area of 9m2. AirPure® blinds use patented technology. They eliminate bacteria, viruses, fungi and pollutant particles, as well as suspended particulate matter (PM) between 0.5 and 10 microns. Ideally positioned indoors, they help to improve air quality in commercial, health and education buildings, as well as in private homes. Used outdoors, they filter external pollutants and purify the air before it enters a room. AirPure® blinds come with a 5-year guarantee. They retain 100% of their pollutant particle removal properties for 6 years and 60% of their effectiveness beyond 10 years. The fabrics can be reprocessed in situ to extend their technical, self-cleaning and pollution-removing properties over time.
