AIMS®. STO’S SUSTAINABLE PRODUCT LINE

Quality, climate protection, and conservation of resources form the basis of our new AimS® product line. Our aim : helping to protect our planet for ourselves and for future generations, and to fulfill our mission : Building with conscience. The AimS® range consists of 3 products, which make up the "StoTherm AimS®" external thermal insulation system. All its components are made of over 95% renewable and sufficiently available raw materials, from the mineral insulation to the paint with Lotus-Effect® Technology. This allows us to save many liters of mineral oil on every project. 30 % of the binder of those products are based on pine oil, which is extracted from pine bark, a waste product from the timber industry and available in huge quantities. The properties of the final product are comparable to binders made from mineral oil. StoArmat Classic AimS® : organic, cement-free base coat made from renewable and sufficiently available raw materials which combines environmentally friendly credentials with outstanding application properties. Stolit AimS® : finishing render which uses natural principles and materials without biocides to provide facades with perfect protection against algae and fungi. StoColor Lotusan AimS® : organic facade paint with Lotus-effect® technology, which provides natural protection against dirt by preventing it from adhering to the wall At the same time, however, the tried-and-tested application properties and the aesthetic effect of our StoTherm external wall insulation systems remain unchanged, as do their outstanding protective properties against weathering, micro-organisms, cracks, and mechanical stress. That’s why they’ve been awarded the “Blue Angel” eco-label.
