BULDO CEILING LIGHT MARINE

The BULDO ceiling light unveils an innovative approach that combines tradition and modernity, beauty and sustainability for specific environments. The light emitted by LED technology allows for an energy-efficient product, and it is housed within the hermetically sealed module to meet the demanding IP 66 certification. The development of this module was made possible by the use of a new technology, 3D printing. For this module , we used two materials. The first material is powder-coated stainless steel with corrosion protection to match the demanding environments for which it is intended. The second material is blown glass, for which we used 40% recycled material in the light's design. The use of powder-coated stainless steel requires a specific treatment to meet the standards for demanding environments . This treatment consists of three stages. Firstly, a surface pretreatment is necessary to prepare the surface for painting. Then, the application of powder using an electrostatic gun ensures the material adheres to the surface. This step is called 'electrostatic spraying.' Finally, the module is heated to a high temperature in an oven to bond the powder to the metal object through the paint's curing process. Once the object is removed, it is coated with a very durable, waterproof, and resistant paint film. This method guarantees the durability, strength, and sophistication of the luminaire. It also evokes the charm of the 1930s, expressing a design reminiscent to Art Deco, presenting a simple and elegant lighting fixture, a minimalist approach.
