There were high expectations for the second edition of ARCHITECT@WORK Brussels, which took place on Wednesday, May 29, and Thursday, May 30, in sheds 1 and 2 of Tour & Taxis. After the inaugural event in 2022 had already opened unexpectedly strong, the boldest expectations were once again exceeded. Over the two days, no less than 26% more visitors attended.

Ultimately, the event recorded 3,496 visitors, with Thursday being clearly the most popular day (42% on Wednesday and 58% on Thursday). It was noteworthy not only how much the numerous innovations presented by the exhibitors were appreciated but also how great the interest in the event talks and features was. The seminar program, in particular, attracted more professionals than ever before.

"The absolute highlight among the seminars was the one on the use of AI in architecture by Tim Fu, where the seminar room was packed, and some people had to follow along without a seat. There was also significant interest in the beautiful facade story by Michiel Riedijk, featuring numerous Belgian projects, including the Herman Teirlinck and Gare Maritime buildings, two constructions on the site where our event took place," responds Exhibition Manager Anne-Laure Van de Ginste. "It was also remarkable that we welcomed nearly 500 visitors on our digital platform who followed the live talks. The specifier was also very charmed by the contribution of artist/sculptor Conrad Willems and was clearly surprised by FEBELCEM / FEBELARCH, which presented a renewed and larger setup than during ARCHITECT@WORK Kortrijk 2023."

The dates for the next edition of the biennially organized ARCHITECT@WORK Brussels will be announced soon. The third edition of the event will take place in the spring of 2026. The next Benelux edition scheduled for September 11 & 12, 2024, is ARCHITECT@WORK Rotterdam.
