Materials in Transformation

Datum vydání 26.05.2026

Materials in Transformation

Welcome to “Materials in Transformation”, an exhibition dedicated to the materials, techniques and products that are transforming the way we build, renovate and design spaces today.

Through a selection of projects, prototypes and innovations, the exhibition highlights concrete solutions stemming from reuse, recycling, bio-based resources and artisanal expertise. Reclaimed wood, reused bricks, recycled textiles, innovative composites, natural coatings and materials derived from industrial waste: each material presented tells a new story about how we conceive buildings and their uses.

The exhibition explores how these products are integrated into contemporary projects in dialogue with existing structures. It demonstrates how buildings, surfaces and objects can be transformed through sustainable, high-performance materials adapted to today’s environmental challenges.

“Materials in Transformation” also showcases the work of designers, craftspeople, architects and manufacturers who are developing these alternatives. Their approaches are based on experimentation, the valorisation of local resources and the search for low-impact solutions, without compromising aesthetic or technical quality.

Conceived as a space for discovery and inspiration, the exhibition invites visitors to observe materials up close and to understand their origin, transformation process and application potential. Each featured project demonstrates that it is possible to rethink our environments through a more responsible and inventive use of resources.

The exhibition therefore offers a concrete insight into the ongoing transformations within architecture, design and manufacturing, where materials themselves become true agents of change.
