Victims of climate change, the forests of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes are suffering from a number of health problems, including spruce dieback caused by the bark beetle.

The wood, known as “bark beetle wood”, takes on a blue hue, but is still perfectly usable for construction. We'll take a look at 3 examples of how to make the most of these woods in a project.

In addition, the presentation of the latest FCBA study will show exactly how this insect affects lumber.
