The lecture will look at the individual components of a high-rise construction and possible optimisations with regard to materiality and construction methods. The overall construction and individual components will be explained and critically examined. Possibilities of urban re-densification will be outlined and supplemented by project examples of large-scale projects. Current topics and trends from research and development will be reported.
